Fashion designers Stephen Wong and Kirk Pickersgill of Greta Constantine are part and parcel of today’s Canadian fashion industry. Having successfully taken on the runway, and won a place in the closet of discerning females around the country and across the pond (the label is stocked by Harrod’s in London), the guys are looking to another medium to get the word out: film.

In partnership with Stolichnaya Vodka, the design duo have released a short documentary titled, From Sketch to Runway — a chronicle of the frantic final weeks leading up to their Autumn/Winter 2012 show at Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week this past March. Premiered last week at a celebratory screening presented at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto, the film traces the designers’ inspiration for their new collection and the creative process that takes their vision for the Greta woman from a rough drawing to a spectacle of fabric.

For those who missed it, we’ve got the full film here; presenting, From Sketch to Runaway.
