What I Wore: Club Monaco SS15 from Head to Toe

Howdy! Happy summer to all, and hope everyone enjoyed a great Canada Day celebration yesterday. To all of my friends south of the boarder, I bet you’re gearing up for a fun-filled long weekend as we approach the fourth of July!

The big red backdrop certainly felt appropriate for a What I Wore post just after Canada Day. This outfit features one of my favourite pieces of the season – the Avina silk jumper from the Club Monaco SS15 collection.

I have a thing with onesies, and can’t get enough of them. They’re just so bloody easy to wear, day or night! I mean, BAM in one shot your entire outfit is done. And you look awesome. To be honest, I was so impressed with Club Monaco’s selection of jumpers this season that I bought three different styles in one go.

Initially I purchased the Avina for my recent trip to Mexico to shoot the upcoming episodes of Style Jaunt, and thought this would be a perfect look for shopping in Puerto Vallarta. Since returning home, it has swiftly become one of my go-to pieces to throw on for work, or an event. Plus, it always makes me feel amazing when I put it on.

All that’s really needed with this piece is a few key accessories to complete the look. Here I’m wearing a lightweight straw hat from Club Monaco that proved to be an excellent travel hat since it easily came back to life (and its shape) after being flat packed in my suitcase full of clothes. Naturally the addition of a classic Chanel bag adds an element of chic to an otherwise boho-inspired look. And as always I chose to keep my jewellery simple, with the addition of my new favourite necklace by Michelle Ross from The Chic Canuck.
