There are few things I love more in life than a good denim jacket and bandana print. In fact, my love for denim and the bandana print is so strong that I even have a denim bandana print duvet cover on my bed. Too much? Never.
One of my favourite menswear trends is when dapper dudes layer a buttoned up denim jacket under a great blazer or jacket. For a stroll through the Distillery District over the weekend, I decided to try out the trend myself. But instead of a typical indigo, I opted for a crisp white denim jacket from Old Navy, layered under an oversized army jacket, and paired with their amazing bandana-print jeans. I literally squealed with joy when I first spotted these on their website. Even better? They are crazy comfy, and come in my favourite fit: The Rockstar.
Layering your jackets is actually rather genius for spring weather. When I leave my house in the mornings to walk to work, it’s still cool enough that I need to be bundled up. But come lunch, it’s warm out and I need something lighter. Wearing two different jackets keeps me prepared for any temperature throughout the day!
So what do you think? Are layered jackets just as cool on girls as they are on guys? Give it a try!
