It’s common knowledge by now that there’s nothing I love to do more than shop (especially at a sample sale), eat, drink, and look at cool things. Here are a few awesome events involving some of my many talented friends that you should be sure to check out from today until Tuesday!

Friday: BIKO’s Sample Sale

Remember that amazing Third Eye Bracelet I blogged about not so long ago? Well good news, the fabulous designer, BIKO, is hosting a sample sale today from11-6pm at their downtown studio! If you’re in the Queen and Spadina area, there is absolutely no excuse to not drop by.

 Saturday: The Commonwealth

This new Toronto-based collective aims to bring together the city’s best independent and creative talent with a focus on DIY, small press, and independent print publishing. Zine freaks, this is for you! The Commonwealth collective’s first-ever event is taking place on Saturday night at 8pm-12am on Sterling Road and will be featuring 25+ local independent vendors, including the design collective my boyfriend is a part of – Hiatus Collective, woohoo! Monday and Tuesday: Boxed presents Shilin Snack Shack

One of my favourite chefs in the Toronto, Matthew Sullivan (remember his from Friends with Cooking Skillz) will be hosting a Taiwanese-inspired night market at Happy Child on June 3rd and 4th starting at 10pm. the ‘Shilin Snack Shack‘ will be set up by his pop up restaurant company, Boxed. Matthew’s talent with food really shines through when it comes to his Asian-fusion creations. If you’re as big of a fan of 416 Snackbar as I am, you will not want to miss your chance to try a new variety of snack options including chinese pancake wraps, cold noodles and more.
