On most days, I can be found running around Toronto in workout gear, and almost every day I thank the Fashion Gods for making this an acceptable look when outside of the gym. I think we really are lucky that ‘athleisure‘ is not only a major trend right now, but it has helped elevate the styles and designs of what we get to workout in. With gear this cool, why wouldn’t you wear it as a streetstyle statement?
adidas has taken this to the next level with the ability to create your own custom adidas gear through their website at adidas.ca. Even though I currently have 4 pairs of the adidas Pure Boost X training shoe that I absolutely adore, I nearly lost my mind when I found out I could customize my own pair of ‘Mi Pure Boost X‘ AND spotted a leopard print as a pattern option.
Aside from the leopard print, my next favourite part of the custom adidas design project was getting to personalize the sockliner of the Mi Pure Boost X shoe. Since #GCfit has been my main fitness journey hashtag (along with the #HereToCreate hashtag that’s part of the adidas program), I decided it would be the perfect way to add a personal touch to a my new custom sneaker.
And it doesn’t stop there. Along with getting to customize the main, sole and top of the shoe (along with the personalization), you can also create a pair of custom adidas Mi Performer Tights as you’ll see in the image below.
As you would expect for custom gear, it takes a few weeks to receive your order, but, it’s undoubtedly worth it! My orders are in and I can’t wait to share the results once they arrive.
