Summer ain’t over yet, and neither is Summerlicious. Well, technically the official meal-deal event wrapped up in July, but recently I’ve discovered some on-going deals at great restaurants that give Summerlicious a run for its money. Never tried Summerlicious? Well, taking advantage of these four deals will hopefully inspire you to make those reservations come Winterlicious. Personally I think the bi-annual event is one of the best that takes place in Toronto. I love getting to try out restaurants that are normally out of my price range, or that I’ve never tried before, at an extremely affordable rate. Here are my four of my favourite non-Summerlicious restaurant deals in the city right now, I hope you enjoy them too!
Restaurant: Porzia
Location: Parkdale
Food: Italian
Reservations: Yes
Deal: 3 courses for $33 on Mondays, and half price bottles of wine.
Notes: Try the Cavatelli and Bone Marrow
Restaurant: Boehmer
Location: Ossington
Food: Contemporary Canadian, Local.
Reservations: Yes
Deal: $1 Oysters, $22 Lobsters (while supplies last), Half Price Bottles of Wine on Tuesdays.
Notes: Get it all and get there early.
Restaurant: King Edward Hotel
Location: King and Yonge
Reservations: Yes
Deal: Sunday Brunch special for $34 from regular $54, 11am-2pm (hurry, this deal is only on for the summer.)
Notes: This is a genuinely good brunch buffet with everything you could ever want. The array of garden fresh salads are particularly delicious. It is a great option for taking relatives for a nice, fancy-ish brunch.
Restaurant: Czehoski and Union.
Location: West Queen West, and Ossington.
Food: This fourth deal is a tie and only has to do with wine, because wine deals are awesome.
Deal: Half price bottles of wine at Union on Mondays, half price bottles of wine at Czehoski on Wednesdays.
Notes: Go to Union on Mondays, and Czehoski on Wednesdays.
