What To Wear to Memory Ball 2013 on March 23rd!

Now that it’s March, you know what that means? It’s Memory Ball month! Don’t know what the Memory Ball is? Well, it’s a fantastic charity event that was created by my wonder woman of a friend Katherine Andrikopoulos, and five of her friends. Unfortunately, two of the organizers’ mothers have been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in recent years.

Did you know that every 4 seconds someone around the globe is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s? Currently more than 500,000 Canadians are living with the disease (or a related dementia) and approximately 71,000 of the are under the age of 65.

Determined to make a difference, Kat and her friends joined forces to create the Memory Ball, an annual gala that brings together more than 500 guests in support of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Their unforgettable night promotes Alzheimer’s awareness among a young demographic while raising funds for Alzheimer’s research and programming.

In support of Memory Ball, I have joined forces with the team for the second year running as their style advisor. This year, we created a video that breaks down some of the major trends from the SS13 runways to show you how they can be reinterpreted and worn to Memory Ball.
