Is there a better feeling than when someone asks you if your skirt is Dolce & Gabbana and your answer is, ‘no, actually, I just found it at Winners for $24.99”? Well, perhaps saying yes, that you were wearing Dolce & Gabbana, but I think the former is a pretty funny, pat-yourself-on-the-back for a good find feeling. This is a Cynthia Rowley skirt I found at Winners in Calgary, and decided to wear to Paul Hardy’s fashion show that night. When I sat down front row next to my girl Nelia of Style Blog, it was her that turned and asked about the “Dolce” skirt – my love for her grew even more at that moment.
Speaking of Nelia, who do I find posing on Instagram in this very same sweater (albeit in grey) just the other day? As we say in the biz, great bloggers think alike. This is my favourite piece from Toronto line, Label’s FW12 collection. It is like wearing a thick cozy tee, but with a badass leather tail zipped on to it. What’s not to love?
To complete the look, my Liz Cabral for Aldo shoes bring out the pops of red from head to toe. Then, my forest green 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel – ps. Has everyone been introduced to this new baby of mine yet? Best bag, guys, seriously.
What I Wore: vintage leather jacket from Penny Arcade, sweater with leather detail from Label, skirt by Cynthia Rowley from Winners, shoes by Aldo x Flare, bag by 3.1 Phillip Lim.
