At this point in time I think it’s safe to say that, my arm party (along with my topknot) has become a part of my signature style. It is, to be honest, one of the things I am known for. And what can I say? I love a good bracelet!
Now that I’ve had my time with revisiting the fun and youthful woven friendship bracelet, I’ve graduated to a more sophisticated collection on my wrists that mainly consists of high quality metals and precious stones.
Naturally, when Michael Hill Jewelers approached me to peruse their selection of arm candy online, I couldn’t resist.
Me being me, I looked for the best I could find on my budget. Often this means souring sale sections for higher priced items that have been marked down to an amount that works for me. I love shopping online for this reason, because it’s so easy to dissect every single piece in a sale section – for as long as it takes you – without judgement. And to be honest, there was no difference when it came to the Michael Hill website, I looked for anything that included diamonds that I could afford.
After days of searching and thinking about what I wanted, I finally settled on a beautiful sterling silver bracelet and bead from the Emma & Roe collection. It wasn’t only the little baby diamond on the bead that caught my eye, but the fact that it featured a silver and gold mix – another signature of mine. In fact I remember one night on Queen West here in Toronto when a guy looked at my jewellery selection and said “Isn’t mixing metals a fashion faux pas?” to which I responded, “Not to me it isn’t.” I’m still proud of my 19 year old self for that response to this day.
Worn alongside my favourite Mainsai bracelet, and paired with a new Henri Bendel clutch (they’re now shipping to Canada, btw), I can’t think of any better way to step into fall than with a newly charmed wrist, even as cheesy as that sounds.
And if I could, here are the three new charms I would buy to add on to my bracelet right now:
Diamond Set 10KT Gold Flower Charm (on sale for $149!)
10KT Yellow Gold & Sterling Daisy Charm , only $89
