Birthday Suit!! Not quite, but pretty much everything I am wearing was acquired over my birthday weekend in NYC in November. Most of it I bought for myself (one or two things were gifts) so let me tell you a bit about this birthday suit. Tokio 7 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan is my favourite store in the city because it is the only place I am ever able to buy designer goods in NYC. It is a Japanese-run (obviously) shop that is jam-packed with discarded goods from Fashion Editors to regular old fashion-loving folk (I assume). Anyways, on my last trip I found these amazing black and gold tweed trousers by 3.1 Phillip Lim for $120 and pulled out the neon orange APC long sleeve tee out of a fish tank that doubles as their $10 bin – score! The earrings were a gift from my friend Gabrielle and are by the glamorous wife of Naeem Khan, Ranjana Khan, who has a jewellery line. Now that I think about it, my shoes (by Giancarlo Paoli) were a gift from my friend Ray many years ago. Ah, I have the best friends!
