All month, we’ve been bombarded with frantic “but, what should I get them!?” questions in the lead-up to Christmas. From girlfriends in Germany, boyfriends in Britain to loved ones right here in Toronto, our answer is always the same: go heritage, and go Canadian.

The re-birth of the heritage brand has been quite the trend as of late, and we especially love to support those that are maple leaf-certified. The latest to appear on our radar? North Star, the classic Canadian sportswear company that was founded by Bata Corporation in the late ‘40s in Batawa, Ontario. The brand is back and cooler than ever, producing a sportswear line inspired by its storied archives.

In particular, we can’t get enough of this “All Canadian” ‘70s-style crewneck sweatshirt, recently spotted on hometown hero Drake. We think its safe to say that sweatshirts don’t get much cooler than that, so who wouldn’t love it?

$70 (womens) $75 (mens). Available at Drake Hotel General Store.
