Fashion Week is officially hurrr and what’s most important to me during the week is maintaing good hair. Sure, there are perks to the week like having a pro (Hi Beni who hooked me up at the Sheek Survival Lounge yesterday) spruce up your ‘do to kick off the week, but what’s a girl to do the rest of the time? Here are the secret weapons I use to keep my hair looking fresh and glam throughout the 5-days of fashion madness.
A Fresh Start:
1. Kevin Murphy’s Hydrate-Me.Wash
2. Kevin Murphy’s Hydrate-Me.Rinse
Fashion Week doesn’t allow much time for relaxing hair washing. So you had better make sure you get in a good wash before things start. Kevin Murphy‘s Hydrate-Me Wash and Rinse gets my hair clean and mega moisturized.
Hydrate & Protect:
3. Giovanni Ultra Moist Leave-In Conditioner
4. Matrix Total Results Iron Tamer
It’s not only important to hydrate your body, but your hair too. Especially during fashion week! In general, I like to mix and match products all the time, trying a bit of this and a bit of that. I love using Giovanni‘s ultra-moist leave-in conditioner, alongside Matrix‘s iron tamer for hear protection.
Give It Style:
Naturally, my hair is very wavy. Although body is a good thing in my books, sometimes it looks a little, well, crazy. Rowenta‘s Versa Style helps me create curls, waves and even a super sleek straight look if I want it. What comes with wavy hair is often dryness, so there is no end to what my hair will absorb. For a shiny, sleek finish, I like to use Aria‘s all- natural oil serium, especially on my ends.
Pump Up The Volume:
7. Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium Finish
8. Schwarzkopf Professional Refresh Dust
When you’re creating curls, you’re gotta go big or go home. Personally, I LOVE big hair! To keep the body, I finish with a light hairspray, like Moroccanoil’s luminous medium finish, and add a few sprays of Schwarzkopf Professional‘s Osis+ bodyfying dry shampoo so things don’t fall flat.
Work the Bed Head:
9. Kevin Murphy’s Hair.Resort.Spray
10. Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Dust It Mattifying Powder
So maybe your hair isn’t going to look as good after a day or two, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on it. Once my bed head really kicks in, I like to play up the surfer girl look by using Kevin Murphy‘s beach spray and Schwarzkopf Professional‘s mattifying powder.
