What is your favourite fall trend?

Winter Whites, although it’s not that practical for a Canadian winter, which is why I’ve reverted to dramatic, all-black looks after a steady relationship with bright colours and prints. I recently acquired a black cape and wide-brim hat that will be my signature pieces this fall.

What designer did it best on the runway?

Proenza Schouler.

How would you suggest wearing it as an everyday look?

I love the look of black leather trousers with a navy cashmere sweater. I’m all about tall boots again too. They can make an outfit look dramatic, same goes for a cape and hat. Wearing black is about wearing statement pieces. It’s not just about the colour, it’s about the drama of the pieces.

What is your favourite fall trend?

Oxblood [red].

What designer did it best on the runway?

Christian Siriano

How would you suggest wearing it as an everyday look?

Go for deep red separates. That way you can combine for a full oxblood look, as shown on the runway. Or pair them with other pieces you already own in your wardrobe, for a more subtle take on the trend. You can also try the trend on a dime with a wine colored manicure!
