Over the halfway mark, the festival is becoming more bearable. The team began to get their energy back right in time to host the wonderful cast and crew of Edwad Sanchez’s (The Blair Witch Project) Lovely Molly at Malena restaurant in Yorkville for a pre-screening cocktail reception.

After 7 days of living off of mini fresh rolls and variations of smoked salmon and goat cheese crostinis, every festival-goer present was as thankful for the culinary imagination of the small bites served up by Chef Matthew Sullivan including albacore tuna from local purveyor Hooked, laid ontop a tempera battered zucchini blossom, as for the cozy intimacy of the party. Sipping on wine and indulging in these deliciously innovative h’ordeuvres, FILLER alongside Lovely Molly toasted TIFF to a custom soundtrack by DJ HUGGS before rolling out to the film’s big Midnight Madness premiere.
