People often ask me for shopping recommendations in the city, and, more specifically, where I shop. To be honest, I almost always shop consignment. I love the ‘thrill of the find’ and I’m completely obsessed with hunting for amazing designer clothing at an unreal deal. While waiting for Sale Season, I definitely spend my time trolling through the racks of some of my favourite consignment stores, and I’m always on the lookout for a new shop to sift through. Enter VSP Consignment, Dundas West’s very own lightly used and vintage designer hub, which opened up this past fall.

It’s hard to believe that it took me so long to get myself into VSP Consignment, but I finally made it this weekend just in time to catch their 75% off winter sale. As if a designer consignment store could get any better, there’s a 75% sale added on as well! If you’re reading this now… GET YOURSELF TO THE SALE!

Seriously, I scored a pair of Moschino pants from the sale rack for a mere $25! I also picked up a couple of non sale items like a pair of brand new Zara pumps for $35, and, er, a Gucci watch… (what? I always wanted one okay?)

What I love about VSP is its bright, open and modern space. So often consignment stores can feel like messy junk shops, but in this case, owner, Britt Rawlinson, has created a boutique environment that looks and feels as though you’re shopping a real designer shop, and not second hand.

But don’t let the Chanel and Givenchy scare you off, VSP‘s range is everything from Joe Fresh to  Saint Laurent. This is also good news for those who are looking to offload some of their closet, but don’t have the same kind of labels in their closets as say, Suzanne Rogers.
