February may seem like a dreary month but there are plenty of ways you can brighten up your winter days in Toronto. With romance in mind, here I share my top 4 February localist pics for FLARE for what to do in Toronto this month. This month’s picks include a super chic new restaurant in the downtown core, a locally made fine jewellery line, the coolest and tastiest chocolates you’ve ever had, and, well, a new place to workout for after all that indulgent eating! 1. Share a meal at FIGO

Whether or not love is in the air for you this February, don’t miss out on the chance to try a romantic brunch at one of the city’s most stylish new restaurants, FIGO Toronto (295 Adelaide Street W.). With a bright and airy, Instagram-ready interior, this downtown spot is definitely my top pick for a V-Day date this year—with your guy or your best girls. Be sure to order the Punch Americano, a lovely light pink cocktail served in a stunning crystal decanter that’s perfect for sharing.

2. Indulge in Artisan Chocolates
Chocolate for your crush, or chocolate for you, it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that you get an order in for the coolest treats in town: Chocolates by Brandon Olsen. These abstract works of art are not only beautiful to look at, but will please any dessert lover with their delectable flavour combinations that include raspberry rose fennel, lime ginger black pepper, orange blossom honey, and more. Chocolates can be ordered online, or throughTonic Blooms if you want to get the best local flowers and chocolates taken care of in one easy click.

3. Treat Yo’self to Something Sparkly
Finding locally made fine jewellery in Toronto at a great price point isn’t exactly easy, butIccha Jewellery is filling that gap in the market. If a new piece of bling is in the cards for you this month, consider going local with Iccha’s beyond gorgeous pieces that use only top-quality metals and gemstones. Items are available for purchase online and in person at the Toronto Designer’s Market (1605 Queen Street W).

4. Work It All Out at Pure Barre

If your new year health kick is still going strong (or you need some new motivation to get active), you should definitely try this new workout studio. Pure Barre (737 Queen Street W.) recently opened its doors in Toronto and offers a full-body workout utilizing the ballet barre. If you have not yet tried a barre workout, I highly suggest you do—it is TOUGH and will get you mega toned in no time. Plus, it’s fun, too!
