There’s always a lot going on in Toronto, so it’s not exactly easy to narrow things down to a only four of my favourite things to highlight each month. And yet, I still manage to do it! Just for you, FLARE. Take a look at this month’s top picks for my Toronto Style Diary below! You can also click HERE to watch my recent Toronto Localist feature for FLARE on Breakfast Television!

Nike Training Club
I find it hard enough to wake up at 7 a.m., never mind 5 a.m., but I’ve committed to getting my ass kicked at the crack of dawn for six weeks by Nike trainer Eva Redpath, as part of their Nike Training Club. I think the initiative is really cool, and it’s been a huge success; you can learn more and sign up at nike.com/toronto.

Field Trip + Fidelity x Over the Rainbow
Music festivals are one of my favourites things about summer in Toronto, and I was honoured to be invited to a preview dinner to celebrate the upcoming Field Trip festival on June 6 and 7. My style has always got a hint of rock ’n’ roll influence, but I tried to lighten things up to coincide with the lovely spring weather: I wore a pair of limited-edition Fidelity Denim for Over the Rainbow Mila jeans that recently hit shop floors, and a customized clutch from the new World of Jolie x Jocelyn Teng collection.

Montecito for Taste of Toronto
Any restaurant that serves a good kale salad and uses Staub cookware will have me swooning. I fell in love with this savoury green centrepiece from Montecito while touring some of the places that are participating in July’s Taste of Toronto festival, where you can try dishes from the city’s best restaurants all in one spot. If you’re a foodie like me, you’re not going to want to miss it, so get your tickets before it’s too late!

Women in Rock at Analogue Gallery
Most of my style icons happen to be women in music—Debbie Harry, Gwen Stefani and Madonna, to name a few—so Analogue Gallery’s badass photography exhibit Women in Rockis sure to be inspiring. Part of the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival, the free show will be on the walls at Queen and Bathurst until mid-June.
