Feelings towards Gwyneth Paltrow – yes, the Oscar-winning actress, Founder and CCO of GOOP, and all-around beautiful, glamourous and famous person – always seem to be split exactly down the middle into two parties of either Love or Hate. Personally, I am proud to part of team Love GP and have been for a long time. I’ll be honest, for many years I felt like a lot of her GOOP-ing business was a load of BS and I just couldn’t relate to the $2,000 “best pair of cotton pajamas ever!” or whatever ridiculously overpriced thing they were promoting that only made sense to the world’s 1% of people. But then, being the cookbook collector (and ok, hoarder) that I am, I decided to pick up a copy of Gwyneth’s second coobook, It’s All Good, to see what this woman could do in the kitchen. It’s no secret that Gwyneth called upon Chef Julia Turschen to help her create, test and perfect her (somewhat) family-friendly detox cookbook, and for that I’m grateful, because all of the recipes are freaking awesome. Sure, a lot of the ingredients in that cookbook are hard to pronounce and hard to source, but as someone who had already delved deep into the world of health freak superfoods, I was prepared (for the most part) to make all the foods that Gwyneth and Julia promised “will make you look good and feel great”. And you know what? They were delicious. One flip through my sticky, stained and stickered copy of the book will show you just how much of a ‘Bible‘ it has become in my kitchen. To me, cooking is all about enjoying yourself and feeding the ones you love when you come together around a table. If it can be delicious and healthy then all the better. This book helps you do just that.

If you are a fellow follower of the one and only Gwyneth Paltrow, or, “GP” as her inner circle (apparently) calls her, then you will already know of her recently-released third cookbook called It’s All Easy. While her second book tends to be a bit on the preachy side of healthy cooking, It’s All Easy seems to be a welcomed hybrid between her first and second books to offer easy, comforting, healthy and QUICK meals for the “super-busy home cook”. Despite not having any children, I could certainly relate to being a super-busy always-hungry foodie who always finds it hard to find enough time to cook at home. Was this the right cookbook for me? I wanted to find out. But no matter how much I googled, I couldn’t find more than a couple of pictures to look inside GP’s new book.
Finally, I got myself to my nearest bookstore to go flip through it in person. As fate would have it, the brand new cookbook was there waiting for me inside Chapters Indigo at 40% off. Seriously, go now if you want this book.
Since picking it up a few days ago, I’ve spent a substantial amount of time flipping through this book – and salivating over every page – while enjoying my morning coffee, and relaxing in bed before I go to sleep. I’ve even made one of the recipes (so far)! In my opinion, the new Gwyneth Paltrow It’s All Easy cookbook is really great. And because there still aren’t many pictures for you to take a look inside via the internet, I wanted to share some with you to help you take a peak before you inevitably go out and buy it, or order it online.

I’m a huge huge fan of Vietnamese food and I love making my own healthier versions of their signature dishes at home.These Bo Bun Salad bowls look like they won’t disappoint.
Cauliflower Tabbouleh, Page 131.
Cauliflower is a wonderful vegetable, but I never realised just how diverse it can be when I cut out grains and gluten for a period this year. Cauliflower as a rice replacement? It works! I love the look of this colourful rainbow salad and can’t wait to try it.
