As you probably know already, I often like to share some of the latest and greatest content from The Chic Canuck since I’m so proud of the Canadian-focused content that my team works very hard to create for our readers on a weekly basis. The past few weeks have been new exception, and I wanted to share a few of my favourite stories that you definitely don’t want to miss. Check them out below!

1. Attend The Chic Canuck’s Co-Presentation at Open Roof Fest!

Did you know that Open Roof Festival is an annual not-for-profit outdoor music and film festival in Toronto? We were seriously flattered when they asked us to co-present the film, Unexpected, at this year’s festival. Better yet? We’ve got 10 pairs of tickets to giveaway to our readers and followers! Click HERE for more info.

2. Meet Toronto-Based Designer, Mary Young

It took such little time for me to become a fast fan of Mary Young‘s designs, I thought she had been around for years. Needless to say, I was surprised, and impressed, to learn she had only started her line, and her brand, last fall – only a couple of months before the launch of The Chic Canuck. It is so exciting to me to have our first fashion line join the #ShopTCC roster, and for it to be that of Mary Young. Click HERE to learn more about her.

3. Grilled Sriracha Skewers and Pineapple, Corn and Avocado Recipe

Because I’m such a food nerd, I love to see what our contributors come up with when they send in their latest recipe feature for TheChicCanuck.com. Our newest contributor, the food blogger behind Less with Bread, created her first recipe for the site and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend the summer eating grilled sriracha shrimp skewers with pineapple, corn and avocado salsa? LOVE! Click HERE for the recipe.

4. The 12 Best Fashion Illustrators in Canada

It brings me a lot of joy to know that people are dedicating their time and energy to highlighting emerging talent in the world, of all different mediums. My friend Marcus Kan of Draw a Dot, has done an amazing job at shining a light of some of the world’s most exciting fashion illustrators of the moment. We decided to collaborate to highlight his selection of the 12 best fashion illustrators in Canada, and you can click HERE to see who he chose.

5. The All-Canadian Vinyl Mix by Josh McGuirk

TCC_FrontSmall_WhatToDo_AllCanadianPlaylist

Although Canada Day has come and gone, the All-Canadian Vinyl Mix created by my boyfriend, Josh, for The Chic Canuck is a classic that will live on forever. Considering how much of a music nerd he is, it should come as no surprise that he would put together an All-Canadian Vinyl Mix for our readers that sounds so good, you might even be surprised that everyone on it is Canadian. Click HERE to stream it now.
