If you can support a great cause while simultaneously having a great time, why wouldn’t you? Thanks to so many of the amazing events that take place in Toronto, it’s easy to support something you believe in, while still enjoying a fun night out. This week, for example, includes two very important events: Tonight, my girls from Fat Girl Food Squad are hosting a Popcorn Party fundraiser at the Toronto Popcorn Company on Baldwin Street, to help raise money to send them to the Allied Media Conference in Detroit this summer. On Friday, The Chic Canuck is hosting a curated series of workshops in Liberty Village with some of our favourite brands from #ShopTCC, to raise money for the CAMH ‘Darkness to Light’ campaign. But the fun doesn’t end come this weekend, next week marks the return of one of my favourite annual fundraisers called Scrubs in the City in support of SickKids. Held once again at the beautiful Evergreen brick Works, this year’s theme will have guests ‘jet setting’ to Japan to help raise funds for SickKids.

If you are not already familiar with SickKids, it is Canada’s leading centre dedicated to improving children’s health and home to Canada’s largest, hospital-based child health research institute. SickKids care for more than 100, 000 patients every year. Proceeds from Scrubs will help fund the purchase of a new 3T-MRI machine, one of the highest priority needs of the hospital.

While fundraising for SickKids is serious, Scrubs is a fun-filled and lavish event where you’re guaranteed to have a good time. For the past two years I’ve had the pleasure of attending with a few girlfriends and we always have a great time. Food, drinks, live music, beauty stations, auctions and more…what’s not to love?

Once again, this year I have teamed up with SickKids to offer 2 tickets (worth $195 EACH) to one lucky reader to attend Scrubs in the City 2015 with a friend! The event will be taking place on Thursday June 4th, 2015 from 7pm onwards at Evergreen Brick Works located at 550 Bayview Avenue in Toronto.
