Something major has just been unveiled for soccer fans in #the6ix, and you’re not going to want to miss out – especially if you love a good ol’ “football” match, as they say in Europe. I’ll admit, I don’t really watch soccer (maybe this is the summer to start?) and haven’t played a game since I was on my elementary school team, or, perhaps, during a gym class in high school. Still, this news is cool and I’m excited to share it!
This weekend Adidas Canada opened their pop-up in the heart of Little Italy in Toronto, to bring a VIP viewing lounge and pop-up retail space that will be open to the public from June 4th to July 31st. THE BASE Toronto is located at 584 College Street and will give soccer fanatics access to the adidas Mercury Pack boots, premium federation kits, on-site jersey printing and much more. Oh, did I mention that the VIP, premium viewing lounge features 40-person stadium seating and a 16′ x 9′ HD projection screen? Yas.
The retail space, powered by In2Sports, showcases the latest gear from adidas, including the new Mercury Pack – three chrome soccer boots that will be worn on pitch by the likes of Leo Messi, Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale during Euro 2016 and #Copa100.
As mentioned in my previous post about the FREE Adidas workouts in Toronto this summer, I really love what Adidas Canada is doing to create amazing experiences for Torontonians that anyone can take part in. Might I also add that I think taking a date to THE BASE this summer would very likely score you about one million points for being the coolest person in the city? It’s a win win.
