This week is finishing off filled with great events that involve (local) shopping, theatre, and even free PIZZA! Here’s my list of Toronto events you don’t want to miss from today until Sunday:

victoire

Victoire’s Opening Party on Ossington – Thursday April 24th, 6-9pm

I first discovered Victoire while visiting Ottawa last summer on a trip with Ford Fiesta and instantly fell in love with the little shop. It’s always amazing to see young talent running their own business with so much commitment to supporting Canadian artist and designers. Thankfully for us in Toronto, we no longer have to go all the way to Ottawa to shop at Victoire. They recently opened up at 129 Ossington and are celebrating with a party TONIGHT! All purchases will be 10% off with the addition of tasty drinks and party pizza!

goodlvck

GOOD LVCK (in Liberty Village) – Saturday April 26th, 1-8pm

Toronto-based art collective, Hiatus, is hosting their GOOD LVCK event  this Saturday in Liberty Village. Shop original artwork and goods (including print and t-shirts) while enjoying beers, BBQ from Parkdale’s Smoke Signals and tunes from DJ duo Phantom Signal. My talented boyfriend also happens to be part of the collective and one half of Phantom Signal, woohoo!  See the event on Facebook HERE.

jaystrutaldo

Aldo Rise x Jay Strut A-List – Sunday April 27th, 4-7pm

Aldo Rise is one of the most exciting things to happen to Aldo. Their latest collaboration is with London, UK-based designer, Ostwald Helgason. Celebrate the new collaboration with Aldo and Jay Strut this Sunday evening at The Eaton Centre. Click HERE to RSVP for the A-List party and enjoy drinks, treats, discounts and gifts.

Death Married My Daughter at The Theatre Centre on Queen West – Ongoing until May 18th, 2014

This bouffon-inspired satire (Patron’s Pick and held over as Best of Fringe 2013), resurrects Shakespeare’s Ophelia and Desdemona from exile in the swamps of death to expose their “abusers” and “murderers,” and to destroy – with delight – the established values of a ‘Man’s’ society. It also happens to star one of my best friends, Nina Gilmour! Don’t miss your chance to see these two young female talents kick some ass on stage. Click HERE for show dates and tickets.

Unikati & Co Pop Up Shop on Queen East – April 25th & 26th

Unikati & Co is hosting their very first pop-up shop in Toronto this weekend! Unikati is a Bosnian word for unique items, and specifically handcrafted one-of-a-kind items. The two girls behind Unikati & Co have dedicated their time to sourcing some of the best and most beautiful pieces from artisans around the world and provide them with access to the Canadian market place. This weekend they have joined up with their friends Leaves of Trees and Leikey Designs for their pop up shop on April 25th and 26th.
