Now this Thursday What I Wore post is truly a #TBT since it was shot last month while I was vacationing in Spain with my family. Sigh, if only I could be back there in the sun and on the sandy beach again!

Before heading to Europe I made a stop at Smart Set in the Eaton Centre to stock up on a few pieces for my trip, including the skinny striped jeans were the star of this month’s #SmartSet1p10s blogger style challenge.

I love the rock ‘n roll vibe of these jeans, and even cut them at the ankles for a slightly more rugged look that also happened to suit the length of my legs better.

The challenge here was selecting some pieces that I would wear on vacation with these jeans, since my look in the city would be rather different.

In the end I chose a simple black tank, layered with an aztec-print loose cardigan and an ethnic-inspired necklace. Paired with my favourite Dior cat eye sunglasses and a pair of white Birkenstocks, the look proved to be perfect for a day of walking around town on the island.
