Celebrities gathered last Thursday week to stand up and call attention to a cause deserving of the spotlight: children’s mental health.

Together with Toronto’s Hincks-Dellcrest Centre — a Toronto-based organization that helps over 8,000 children and families a year — Canadian screen stars including the evening’s hosts David Sutcliffe of CBC’s Cracked and Natalie Brown — next to be seen in in the television series Bitten on Space — came out to help raise funds in support of critical children’s mental health programs, such as prevention, early intervention, treatment, training, and research activities, as well as raise awareness around the issue of children suffering from mental health problems.

Other celebrities in attendance included musicians Jimmy Shaw of Metric, and the event’s DJs K-os, and Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene.
