A short documentary screened at the start of Travis Taddeo’s F/W12 show, let us into his world of design and what inspired his latest collection. Images of riots and wars flashed by a somber Taddeo, as he spoke of global chaos and the end of the world. His latest efforts, which had been developed further than his usual basic pieces, were designed for a woman aware: a woman ready for combat. His colour palette of smoky greys, light whites, black and fiery red, were used to represent “the world exploding.” The final result was a collection that showed off his progression as a designer. Covetable pieces include his leather-detailed black army jacket, metallic leather and cream knit jogging pants, and fur-trimmed red leather motorcycle jacket.
