What I Wore - Joe Fresh & Jolie

Anyone who knows me, or has ever seen me out and about, knows that I am a bag lady. It is not uncommon for me to be found wandering the streets with a minimum of five giant bags at a time. Not by choice, mind, but most often I’ll have with me my purse, laptop, spare clothes, pulls, a gym bag… the list goes on, and on.

So when Ivy Chen of Jolie bags approached me about her new designs for busy (and stylish) women on the go, I literally jumped for joy. You see, I don’t actually enjoy carrying around millions of bags with me — at this point my back is in a permanent state of pain — and of course I could just use a rolly bag, but up until now they’ve all been so ugly. And let’s face it, we still need to think about what a bag can do to your outfit here!

Ivy, who is Jolie‘s founder and designer and a Toronto native, says she came up with the idea when she found herself showing up to meetings with multiple bags and would end up appearing disorganized because of it. It doesn’t seem very professional (or cool, calm and collected) to show up shuffling a million bags into a room with a lopsided shoulder now does it?

While they have a very jet-set quality about them, I believe the Jolie bags to be an essential addition to any busy woman’s life. What could be better than a giant gorgeous bag that you don’t even have to carry? I don’t know, I guess maybe a pair of designer heels that double as roller skates? The company’s tag line really says it all, Jolie bags are “Where Style Meets Function: The Luxury Handbag on Wheels”.
