In typical Toronto (weather) fashion, we were surprised with a week of sunshine and summer-like temperatures as soon as we officially entered fall last weekend. But, hey, we’re not complaining! Every nice day from here until, well, May (most likely) is reason to celebrate not having to be so bundled up in heavy knits that only our eyes peep out from beneath.

As someone who relies on dark navy as their “colour of choice” in the winter, I felt like this might be one of my last chances to sport some of the lighter and brighter hues of blue this season. Here I’m wearing an awesome crystal-print dress from one of my favourite Aussie brands, Something Else by Natalie Wood, topped with an elongated moto vest from Stylestalker. Adding a pair of black ankle boots, like these ones from Shellys London at Capezio, helped take the look from summer to pre-fall.

Have you tried throwing on a pair of booties with some of your favourite summer dresses? Do it now before the weather turns!
