To be honest, it took leaving Toronto for me to realize just how in love I am with this city. Sure, New York and London are cool, and they were fun to live in, but there’s really no place like home. Especially when you live in a city that’s as amazing as Toronto. It’s a shame that many of us don’t appreciate what we have until it’s gone, but now that I’m back, I give my Toronto nothing but love every single day. Well, except for the days when I have to take the streetcar during rush hour. Aside from that, I really do love this city all the time.
What’s not to love? Toronto is a booming city that happens to be in one of the best countries in the world. It’s incredibly multi-cultural which means we’ve got delicious foods from around the world at our fingertips. People are friendly, there are tons of cool local businesses and neighbourhoods, and there’s always something fun to do any day of the week!
As part of Bench. Canada‘s current #LoveMyHood campaign (and contest!), I decided to use the rooftop of the Thompson Hotel for my #BenchHood outfit backdrop. Not only does the Thompson’s view overlook the street that I grew up on, but I think it’s one of the best views of the city, and where I always love to take friends from out of town to enjoy.
