Leave it to me to fall in love with a denim-print windbreaker. Yup, that’s right, it was love at first sight as soon as I laid my eyes on this beauty inside Tommy Hilfiger‘s “Surf Shack” that popped up in Toronto last summer. Not everyone can appreciate my die hard affinity for denim. When attempting to clear out my closet before a big move last fall, my cousin casually tossed  my beloved windbreaker into the ‘No’ pile. “NOOO?? NOOOO!!!” I screamed before snatching it back and tucking it somewhere safe. “I can use it for, like, running…” was the best  excuse I could come up with to cover up my near tantrum over something I, to be fair, had never worn (yet).

Now, perhaps, you can understand why I cling on tight to this one, as clearly demonstrated in the photo above. I mean, come on, can you really deny its cuteness when paired with a perforated cream leather racer tank from Ann Taylor and multi-coloured digital print skirt from Joe Fresh? I think not.

Not to mention the amazing leopard print Senso sandals I recently picked up from Sauvage on Queen West; my go-to shop in the city for the best (and most reasonably priced) footwear.

So am I the only one out there with a nerdy fashion obsession or what? Don’t make me have to go into my stories of denim duvet covers to get your confessions out of you!
