Here’s a round up of the best events from the city’s fashion scene (selected by moi) that are open to the public. This edition includes a pool party, a costume contest and a summer sale with complimentary cocktails!

When: Aug. 7, 6 p.m.
Details: three of the city’s top style blogs are coming together on top of the Thompson Hotel to celebrate three years of style. Cheers to them, and for your chance to win some of the $1,200 in prize giveaways from Roots, eLUXE, Danier Leather and more. The three best-dressed ladies (and one best dressed gentlemen) will also be awarded with prizes, so dress to impress!

Details: one person’s trash is another person’s treasure — and this is most certainly true when your stylish friends decide to clear out their closets. Toronto it-girl and style maven Rachel Hale is opening up the doors of her closet (via Miracle Thieves) so that everyone can get in on the hunt.

Details: if, to you, Halloween can’t come soon enough, here’s your chance live it up a lot sooner. Hopefully, you just so happen to have nostalgia for the ’90s. This Friday, bust out your best scrunchies, plaid shirts and neon anything for your chance to win best costume at this monthly ’90s party.

When: Aug. 11, 2-8 p.m.
Details: is the scene at your condo pool a little lackluster? Fear not, the Birdbath is here. Enjoy a Saturday pool party that involves DJs, snacks, drinks, ping-pong, pool tables, massages and loads more poolside fun. And if you really feel like going all out, you can rent a day bed or booth to impress the bikini babes.
