Contributing Editor, Michelle Pinchev of City By Heart, worked up a sweat when she attended ‘The Good Fight’ boxing event at Equinox with Sasha Exeter and Nate Bower during #GCfit month. Keep reading to find out all about it!
Inspired by Gracie’s recent pledge to get fit for spring, I gladly accepted her invitation to attend “The Good Fight,” an intimate, exclusive boxing class hosted by Sasha Exeter at Equinox gym in downtown Toronto. Former Professional Boxing Champ Nathan Bower took us through the basics, and benefits of a boxing workout.
It was easy to step away from the office to work out with Nate and Sasha – Equinox is conveniently central, tucked away in the financial district, and the gym’s gorgeous facilities are fully equipped with all you need to shower and prep for your busy day, complete with high-end products by Kiehl’s.
Be warned, boxing at Equinox packs a heavy punch. But just as I was ready to throw in my chilled eucalyptus towel, Nate and Sasha kept me energized and motivated.
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced fighter looking to build on your technique, this fun, high-energy class will leave you breathless and, in no time, strong and fit.
On a less hectic day, I might have lingered a little longer to sip on freshly pressed juices at the smoothie bar, or decompress in the steam room. There is also a full-service spa where you can reward yourself with a post-workout massage or skin treatment. Alas, I had to run. But I will definitely be back.
Thank you Sasha, Nate and Equinox!
