There’s no turning back now, we’re now in full on fall and (dare I say it?) WINTER! The shoe situation always gets a little tricky at this time of year, especially when you don’t know what kind of weather you’re going to get when you walk out the door. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve come to realise there are 4 key pairs of shoes that I’ve come to rely on for style, comfort, and dealing with bi-polar weather patterns in Toronto. Here they are:

The Orla Kiely for Clarks Daphne Boot

It could be from my days living abroad in London, but there isn’t much that I love more than a good Chelsea boot in the fall. If you, like me, love this style of everyday boot, there is a good chance you will love the Orla Kiely for Clarks Daphne boot too! Not only is this boot super comfy and great for stomping around the city day-to-day, but it comes in this gorgeous Oxblood as well as classic black. I personally have this boot in black, but I do think this particular colour option is just brilliant.

Le Chateau’s Lug Sole Ankle Boot

You may have already spotted these beauties in some of my recent What I Wore posts, and that’s because I’ve hardly taken them off since I got them! These chunky lace up shooties from Le Chateau are not only badass but they are super comfortable and easy to walk in, which is ideal for those of us who do a lot of walking and spend long days in heels. Another bonus is that there’s no need to fear the snow when you’ve got these bad boys on.

Rockport’s First St. Moto Boot

I’m going to be honest with you guys, my ideal Saturday is spent bumming around my house and walking up to Cabbagetown to do our weekly shop. On these glorious days, all I care about is wearing easy and comfy clothing that make me feel happy and cozy when walking around with my boyfriend. I love how great Rockport’s tall moto boot is for our Saturday ritual together. They slip on easily, are super comfy, and keep my legs nice and cozy, especially when I’ve pulled on a pair of soft leggings. You honestly cannot beat a classic moto boot!

Cougar’s Canuck 3 Winter Boot

These might seem a bit extreme considering it’s not yet December, but may I remind you of the crazy snowstorm that hit Toronto last week? This winter is going to be C-R-A-Z-Y and this year I’ve vowed to be prepared with REAL winter boots! Unlike a lot of winter boots on the market, these Canuck 3 boots by Cougar are super light and fit close to the leg without adding any bulk which is hard to come by in a protective winter boot. Extra bonus, did you know that Cougar is a Canadian company? Support the Canucks!
