Being a bit of a denim freak, I love finding designers who turn the traditional use of the fabric on its head and present us with something completely new. Danish denim brand, Won Hundred, has teamed up with London-based knitwear label, Cooperative Designs, to produce a SS12 collection called “Wish you were here.” Inspired by free loving hippies, flower power and vintage Italian Vogue, the collaboration brings together Won Hundred’s clean and modern denim silhouettes with the vivid dizzy aesthetic of Cooperative Designs.

Denim and crocheted knits together is certainly new to me, and I find their pieces look more like works of art. The collaboration reminds me of two other London labels working with denim in inspiring ways, Thomas Wakeford and Marques Almeida. Funnily enough all three labels are headed by Central Saint Martins graduates, talent like whoa.
