Extra! Extra! We’ve got more Dior hot gossip for you this morning! Word on the street is that their deal with Marc Jacobs has fallen through (peeps are saying this is due to his crazy high salary demands, along with needing his entire Louis Vuitton team moved over with him) and Raf Simons, who is currently creative director at Jil Sander, is next in line to sign the dotted line.

Simons has a background in architecture and menswear design, but has received well-deserved praise for his womenswear collections at Jil Sander which have reflected his minimalist and forward design esthetic.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, there is an overall excitement in the air about the next potential switch up in the game of fashion house musical chairs. It will be interesting to see how Simons will integrate his vision into a house that has become known for the over-the-top theatrical frills of Galliano.
